Job summary

Lancashire County Council's School Meals service is seeking a part-time Catering Assistant at Newton Bluecoat CE Primary School. The role offers term-time hours, Monday to Friday, around 10 hours per week, with 12:00-13:30 lunchtime shifts, and a fixed hourly rate of £13.45.

You will help serve meals, assist with kitchen and cleaning duties, follow food safety standards, work in a small team, and provide a friendly dining environment for pupils.

Qualifications

• Previous catering and food-preparation experience is essential for this role.
• Reliable and able to work in a team.
• Good customer service and communication skills.
• Able to stay calm and work efficiently during busy periods.
