Job summary

Aspens Services Ltd. is a market-leading contract caterer specialising in school food in the United Kingdom. We are hiring a Catering Assistant to support our kitchen during school hours, with on-the-job training provided. The role runs Monday to Friday during term time, 20 hours per week, at a rate of £12.71 per hour.

You will assist with basic food preparation, handle tills during service, and help maintain a safe, clean kitchen while complying with health and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Experience in catering or fast-paced service is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of health and safety practices is desirable.
• Food Hygiene Level 2 is a plus but training can be provided.

Responsibilities

• Customer Interaction: Working on the tills during service with full training provided.
• Front-Line Service: Deliver friendly, polite service to students and staff.
• Essential Support: Assist the team with basic food preparation.
• Maintaining Standards: Ensure a safe, clean kitchen and health and safety compliance.
