Job summary

Berry Recruitment is seeking temporary School Catering Assistants to help in primary and secondary schools across the Stockport area. Positions are during school hours, Monday to Friday, 9am-2pm with some flexibility. Immediate start available.

Responsibilities include food preparation and service, kitchen cleanliness, and safeguarding support. DBS clearance and Food Hygiene/Allergen/Safeguarding/KCSIE training are required, with guidance on costs where applicable.

Qualifications

• DBS clearance required (enhanced).
• Online training completions for Food Hygiene, Food Allergen Awareness, Saf safeguarding, and KCSIE.

Responsibilities

• Maintain kitchen cleanliness (washing up, cleaning).
• Serve food in a friendly, polite manner.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am-2pm (with flexibility)

What You'll Do:

• Prepare and serve food to students and staff
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness (washing up, cleaning)
• Serve food in a friendly, polite manner
• Follow food safety and hygiene standards
• Assist with safeguarding duties

Requirements:

• Enhanced DBS clearance (we can help you obtain this for £59.50)
• Completion of online training for Food Hygiene, Food Allergen Awareness, Safeguarding, and KCSIE (£2.50 each)
