Job summary

Redhill Academy Trust is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to join our catering team at our Nottingham site. The role focuses on preparing, serving and presenting nutritious school meals in a safe, hygienic kitchen environment during term time.

You will work 15 hours per week on a part-time basis, with a friendly team and opportunities for development. Previous catering experience is welcome, but a positive attitude and reliability are essential to maintain high standards.

• Assist in preparation, cooking and serving school meals.
• Operate till system and handle cash transactions.
• Wash up and maintain dining areas and kitchen equipment.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety and food hygiene standards.
• Collaborate with Catering Manager to deliver quality dining experiences.
