Job summary

Holroyd Howe is seeking a Food Service Assistant to join our education catering team. You will assist in serving meals, keep front-of-house areas clean, and ensure food safety. A flexible, team-oriented attitude is essential to deliver quality service to students and staff during mealtimes.

The role offers term-time hours (approximately 25 hours per week) with opportunities for training and development within a supportive school-caterer environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in school/education catering is desirable.
• Ability to follow established menus and recipes.
• Knowledge of food safety procedures and hygiene standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation and serving of meals breakfast to dinner according to menus/recipes.
• Maintain cleanliness of front of house areas and organize dishware.
• Monitor and report shortages or discrepancies in food and supplies.
• Provide friendly, efficient service to students and staff during mealtimes.
• Participate in training on food service procedures, safety, and customer service.
