Job summary

Berry Recruitment is seeking temporary School Catering Assistants in Liverpool for primary and secondary schools. The role covers school hours with Monday to Friday shifts, typically 9am–2pm and some flexibility.

You will prepare and serve meals, keep the kitchen clean, and ensure safety and hygiene standards are met. This position offers flexible hours, immediate start, and a chance to gain experience while working with a supportive team.

Qualifications

• DBS clearance is required (we can help obtain for a fee).
• Completion of online training for Food Hygiene, Safeguarding and KCSIE (provided).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve food to students and staff.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness (washing up, cleaning).
• Serve food in a friendly, polite manner.
• Follow food safety and hygiene standards.
• Assist with safeguarding duties.
