Tymberwood Academy is inviting applications for a Catering Assistant, part of REAch2 Academy Trust. The role focuses on food preparation, simple cooking, serving meals, and general kitchen duties, carried out under the kitchen manager's supervision.

Ideal for someone who enjoys working with children, can handle a lunch rush, and is committed to safe food handling and excellent customer service within a school environment.

Qualifications

• Basic preparation of food under supervision in a school kitchen.
• Simple cooking duties under supervision.
• Serving meals to customers under supervision.
• General kitchen and dining room duties (washing up, moving tables, sweeping, mopping).
• Awareness of customer service needs and safe food handling under supervision.

Responsibilities

• The basic preparation of food e.g. fresh vegetables, salads and fresh fruit under the supervision of the kitchen manager.
• Simple cooking duties under the supervision of the kitchen manager.
• Serving of meals to customers under the supervision of the kitchen manager.
• Other general kitchen and dining room duties e.g. washing up, moving tables and chairs, sweeping and mopping.
• To be aware of customer service needs and ensure food is prepared and served safely.
