Job summary

SHROPSHIRE COUNCIL in Ellesmere, Shropshire is seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Cook for a busy secondary school. Duties include food preparation, presentation, driving, loading and delivery, service setup, kitchen housekeeping and allergen compliance.

Working Monday to Friday, 9:00am–2:30pm, term time only plus 3 additional cleaning days. A supportive school catering environment with focus on safety and hygiene.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen experience preferred.
• Ability to follow allergen management procedures.
• Good teamwork and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present meals for students and staff.
• Assist with loading and food delivery as required.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and hygiene standards.
