Job summary

Caterlink Ltd is seeking an Assistant Chef at Southend High School for Boys in Southend/Westcliff. The role involves planning, preparing and cooking meals to the required standard while delivering excellent customer service and maintaining high food safety standards.

The position is 30 hours per week, term-time only (38 weeks per year), with a rate of 14.61 per hour. You will support kitchen teams and help uphold Caterlink’s Fresh Food Policy across the school.

Qualifications

• Experience in school catering is beneficial.
• Ability to plan, prepare and cook meals to standard.
• Strong attention to food safety and hygiene procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, preparation and cooking of meals to required standard.
• Brief kitchen teams on menus and service.
• Ensure food safety and health and safety procedures are followed.
