Job summary

Caterlink is seeking an Assistant Chef at Robert Peel Primary School in Sandy, Bedfordshire, on a 6 month contract. The role offers 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, term-time only (38 weeks per year).

You will contribute to nutritionally balanced meals, maintain high food safety standards and deliver excellent service to students and staff. The position is paid at £13.00 per hour with a focus on organised, hardworking individuals who are passionate about quality food and customer service.

Qualifications

• Experience in planning, preparing and cooking meals to standard
• Knowledge of food safety and health & safety procedures
• Ability to work efficiently in a school catering environment

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, preparing and cooking meals to the required standard
• Brief kitchen teams on menus and service
• Ensure all food safety and health and safety procedures are applied
• Complete company bookwork as required
