Job summary

Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Staff Nurse for the School Aged Immunisation Service across Staffordshire and Stoke on Trent. You will perform health assessments and vaccinate school-age children (0–19) in schools and clinics, with some out-of-hours flexibility.

The role requires NMC registration (Level 1) or as a registered midwife, good IT and time-management skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Driving duties are included.

Qualifications

• NMC registration (Level 1) or registered midwife.
• Experience liaising with families to promote vaccination.
• Knowledge of the childhood immunisation schedule.
• Good time management and IT skills.
• Able to work on own initiative and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Carry out health assessments before immunisation and deliver vaccines safely.
• Deliver immunisations during outbreaks as part of incident management.
• Promote vaccination and child health for ages 0–19.
• Maintain clinical skills and share knowledge with the team.
• Follow safeguarding guidelines and report abuse.
• Drive service vans to transport vaccinations to sessions.
