About the role/department:
Outwood Academy Normanby is seeking a professional, confident individual to join as HR Assistant. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, dedicated, approachable, flexible, and possess excellent communication skills. The role requires working at pace, prioritizing tasks, and working well under pressure.
The successful candidate will have strong administrative skills and relevant experience in an HR/Payroll environment. Responsibilities include supporting the Business Manager and wider academy in HR and payroll functions, administering payroll, handling HR/payroll inquiries, monitoring staff absence, organizing meetings, taking minutes, and managing the recruitment process, including pre-employment checks. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential as a point of contact for staff wellbeing.
