Job summary

This is a fixed term/secondment post within the School Nursing Service for the Flintshire area, part of Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board. The School Staff Nurse will have delegated responsibility for allocated schools and workload, supporting the health needs of children and young people.

Immunisation programmes, health assessments and health promotion will be delivered in community settings and schools, with safeguarding aligned to All Wales Child Protection procedures; Welsh/English

Responsibilities

• Be part of the School Nursing Service in Flintshire with responsibility for the health needs of children and young people in a designated area.
• Delegate responsibility for allocated schools/workload.
• Undertake immunisation programmes and health assessments.
• Health promotion within the community and schools.
• Follow safeguarding procedures and All Wales Child Protection procedures.
