St Mary's School, Gerrards Cross is seeking a dedicated School Nurse/Lead First Aider to oversee daily medical needs, administer emergency first aid, maintain health records, and coordinate with parents and external medical providers as required. The role involves policy implementation, CPD training, accident and medication management, and collaboration with SCHOOL staff under KCSiE guidelines.

This position is term-time only and suited to a Health Care Associate, First Aider or Nursing

Responsabilidades

• Work closely with line-manager and H&S Compliance Lead to ensure best practice guidelines in nursing and medical care.
• Collaborate to evaluate policies and protocols and ensure staff understand procedures.
• Update data to support accident reporting and medication management.
• Administer all medicines in school and maintain First Aider register.
• Complete medical examinations and assessments as required.
• Coordinate student immunisations with outside agencies and organise timetables.
• Keep records of incidents/accidents per statutory procedures.
• Manage first aid stock levels and order supplies as needed.
• Provide first aid kits for trips and manage risk assessments for students with chronic conditions.
• Inform relevant staff of PEEP forms and adjustments for mobility needs.
• Lead liaison with outside agencies to promote student wellbeing.
• Ensure CPD training maintains high standards of clinical procedures.
• Liaise with parents regarding prescribed medication, risk assessments, and Individual Health Care Plans.
• Work within KCSiE and maintain confidentiality of medical information.
