About the School

Prince William School is located in Oundle, within easy commuting distance of Peterborough, Stamford, Kettering, Wellingborough, and Corby. It is a vibrant and friendly school that strives to deliver the challenging and inspirational curriculum our students need to prepare them for the ever‑changing world of work. This is an exciting time for the school as examination results have seen rapid improvement and the school is expanding under the leadership of a new Headteacher. We are really proud of our 2024 exam results, with an estimated progress 8 score of 0.41 for Key Stage 4.

General Roles and Responsibilities
  • Act as the first point of contact for student and staff medical needs and emergencies.
  • Provide first aid and appropriate care for minor illnesses and injuries.
  • Develop, implement and review Individual Healthcare Plans for students with medical needs.
  • Develop and review Personal Emergency Evacuation Plans (PEEPs) where required.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and update information on Arbor.
  • Administer and monitor medication in accordance with school procedures.
  • Manage the medical room and ensure first aid supplies and equipment are maintained.
  • Coordinate first aid provision and staff training requirements across the school.
  • Liaise with parents, carers, pastoral teams and external agencies regarding student health needs.
  • Support school immunisation programmes in partnership with healthcare providers.
  • Maintain accident records and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and school policies.
  • Promote a culture of wellbeing, safeguarding and student welfare across the school.
