Job summary

Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust in London is seeking a part-time, term-time only Band 3 School Nurse Assistant to join the School Health Team in Wandsworth. The role supports school health screening services for children and young people, including NCMP weighing and measuring and data entry on SystmOne/EMIS.

You will work with children, parents and school staff, requiring compassion, careful planning of travel between schools, and strong IT/data skills.

Qualifications

• Good literacy and numeracy with general education.
• NVQ Level 3 Care Certificate or equivalent experience.
• Experience working with children in a school or health setting is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Measure and record height and weight of Reception and Year 6 children in state-funded schools.
• Liaise with schools to plan sessions and share information for screening.
• Plan and organise travel between schools and transport equipment.
• Input NCMP data into SystmOne and national School Screener/HSCIC systems.
• Support pupils who are nervous or have special needs with care and sensitivity.
