Job summary

Holroyd Howe is recruiting for a Front of House Assistant at Feltonfleet School, Cobham. This term-time only role (40 weeks) offers the chance to deliver high-quality meals and service to pupils, staff, and visitors. The hourly rate is £13.50, with a focus on allergen management, safety and exceptional customer care.

You will join a team dedicated to fresh, school-specific menus and supportive training, ensuring a safe, welcoming dining environment across day-to-day operations and school events.

Qualifications

• Experience working within contract catering or high-volume catering is desirable.
• Good Health & Safety knowledge is expected.
• Flexible, customer-focused and proactive with a can-do attitude.
• Enthusiastic, well-organised and a team player.
• Great attention to detail and reliability.
• Willingness to adapt to term-time hours and school environment.

Responsibilities

• Support the preparation, service, and presentation of food to a high standard.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene across kitchen and service areas.
• Assist with food labelling, temperature checks, and allergen controls.
• Provide excellent customer service to pupils, staff, and visitors.
• Set up and clear service areas, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
• Follow all food safety, health & safety, and safeguarding procedures.
• Contribute to hospitality events and occasional out-of-hours functions.
• Champion allergen controls and safety practices.
