School Finance Officer – Outstanding Secondary – Central London – Southwark – ASAP start

A leading, ‘outstanding’ graded Secondary School in the Borough of Southwark, South London, is seeking a talented School Finance Officer to join their team ASAP.

School Finance Officer Opportunity:

  • Full-time Finance Officer role
  • ASAP start
  • 36-hour working week, all year round (52 weeks)
  • Salary between £28K-£30K

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Maintain departmental expenditure records
  • Liaise with suppliers regarding invoices
  • Input all invoices into FMS and process BACS payments
  • Assist with cash flow statements and monthly expenditure allocation
  • Receive timesheets and expense claims monthly
  • Analyze data and produce reports
  • Maintain accounts filing system
  • Update Governors Fund and Gift Aid, including correspondence with parents
  • Manage Bursary Funds records for pupils
  • Oversee centralized ordering and negotiate bulk discounts
  • Assist staff with purchasing
  • Handle banking and safekeeping of monies received
  • Manage ParentPay system
