Vida Education is recruiting an experienced School Finance Officer to join a Lancashire school. The role requires hands-on use of Finance 3 and Finance 6, processing payments from the school’s bank accounts, and completing bank reconciliations.

Flexible hours and a potential move to permanent employment are on offer. Based in Preston, the position is temporary with strong prospects to go permanent, with duties covering financial reporting, POs, supplier invoices, and day-to-day financial

• Salary: £145.73 - £165.29 per day (based on estimated term-time-only salary)

Vida Education are currently recruiting for an experienced School Finance Officer to join a school in Lancashire.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced school finance professional looking for a position offering flexible working hours and the potential to become permanent.

The successful candidate must have previous experience using Finance 3 within a school setting, including making payments and completing bank reconciliations directly from a school's own bank accounts.

We are looking for someone who can confidently manage these responsibilities with minimal supervision.

THE ROLE

• Process and manage payments directly from the school's own bank accounts.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

• Previous experience using Finance 6 within a school is essential.
• Must have experience making payments and completing reconciliations from a school's own bank accounts.
• Previous experience working in a school finance role.
• Strong understanding of school financial procedures and processes.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage financial responsibilities confidently.
• Good communication and IT skills.
