Job summary

St Christopher Primary School in Coventry is seeking a practical, experienced Facilities Manager to oversee the large site, ensure a safe, well-maintained environment, and support children and staff.

The role combines repairs, compliance, budgets and contractor management with flexible hours (30–37 per week), term-time and all-year options, and a subsidised three-bedroom school house. You’ll work with the Headteacher and Coventry City Council on site projects.

Qualifications

• Experience in trade, construction or building maintenance and a practical background.
• Ability to manage premises compliance, health and safety, and budgets.
• Experience coordinating contractors and site services.

Responsibilities

• Oversee repairs and maintenance and drive school site improvements.
• Manage budgets, compliance and relationships with contractors.
• Lead site services and cleaning provision and coordinate staffing.
