Job summary

Philosophy Education LTD. in London is seeking a School Premises Assistant to join a large secondary school on a long-term, full-time basis. You will work five days a week with the premises team, supporting general maintenance and event setup, and ensuring the site is opened and closed on time.

Experience in school or educational settings is preferred, and you must be physically fit. A DBS check is required or can be processed for you.

Qualifications

• Physically fit and prepared to undertake manual tasks.
• Previous experience in building maintenance or school premises is preferred but not essential.
• Enhanced DBS check required or willing to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• General maintenance and repairs in and around school facilities.
• Prepare areas within the school for events (furniture setup, etc).
• Open and close the school site at designated times as part of the premises team.
• Support supervision of the site and security of the buildings.
• Liaise with premises manager, cleaning staff and external contractors as required.
