Job summary

Greenways Primary Academy in Stoke-on-Trent is seeking a Site Operative to deliver maintenance and operational support across Milton and Greenways campuses. You will work under the Site Manager, rotate shifts, and ensure the site is safe and well-presented for pupils and the community.

Responsibilities include lighting, security, cleaning, grounds, and basic repairs, plus responding to emergencies and assisting with external events.

Responsibilities

• Participate in shift patterns to support academies and community use.
• Maintain cleanliness, safety, security of buildings and grounds.
• Open/close site to ensure safety when required.
• Undertake maintenance and improvement work to internal and external areas.
• Support contractor works to high quality standards with minimal disruption to teaching.
• Work in line with H&S risk assessments.
• Respond promptly to site emergencies.
• Assist with facility setup for meetings and events as required.
• Be prepared to respond to out-of-hours calls as a key holder.
• Carry out H&S checks, testing and inspections.
• Support other departments as time allows.
• Be willing to work at other Windsor Academy Trust academies.
