Job summary

Gwinnett County Public Schools is seeking a Custodian to maintain clean, sanitary school facilities in Mountain View High. You will perform scheduled custodial tasks using approved products and equipment, under supervision, to support a safe learning environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, basic English reading comprehension, and the ability to work as part of a team. Prior industrial cleaning experience is preferred, with opportunities to grow within GCPS Custodial Care.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintain assigned areas of school facilities in a clean, sanitary and orderly condition.
• Perform scheduled custodial tasks using approved chemicals, supplies and equipment.
• Maintain tools and equipment in clean, sanitary and safe condition per GCPS guidelines.
• Open and secure assigned facilities or grounds as instructed by supervising staff.
• Suggest alternate cleaning practices and assist in evaluations for efficiency.
• Maintain positive working relationships with team members and staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
