Job summary

Cobholm Primary Academy, part of Inspiration Trust, is recruiting a reliable caretaker to maintain the premises, security, and health and safety compliance. The role is 37 hours per week, 52 weeks, Monday to Friday, with pattern discussed at interview.

You will handle site maintenance, grounds, locks, alarms, utilities, and basic repairs, plus admin tasks such as stock checks. Category D1 licence desirable. Salary £25,583 to £25,989 per annum; LGPS and health plan benefits.

Qualifications

• You will be reliable, with good problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic knowledge of health and safety in an educational environment.
• DIY skills to undertake minor repairs and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for the security of the premises and contents, including alarms and key holder duties.
• Ensure utilities such as heating, lighting, plumbing and power are functioning.
• Maintain and operate plant and equipment and assist with general site upkeep.
• Carry out administrative tasks including record-keeping, ordering and stock checks.
• Support compliance with health and safety policies and procedures.
