Job description

My client is looking for an Events & Marketing Manager to work at an Establishment around the Tonbridge area. This is a Full-time Temporary position to start ASAP to work on an ongoing basis and it does have the potential to become Permanent for the right person.

Purpose of the Position:
They are seeking an enthusiastic Events and Marketing Manager to join the team. As a key member of the team, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the social media platforms and communication channels. You will also take the lead on all School events, working with relevant SLT members and departments.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Events:

  1. To support with the administration and organisation of all school events. Responsibility for ensuring timely parent communication, liaising with Finance if necessary and ensuring all administrative tasks have been completed.
  2. Reviewing the efficiency of current processes and procedures in relation to events and implementing new ones where required.
  3. Leading dynamic Open Mornings, parent events, and working closely with the PTA.
  4. Respond to enquiries and provide information about school programs and activities.
  5. Maintain clear communication with parents, staff, and external partners to promote school events and initiatives.
  6. Collaborating closely with key stakeholders to understand and fulfil their communication needs.
  7. Taking the initiative to remain informed about the latest communication tools to improve school outreach.
  8. Work closely with the whole school community, ensuring all parties (Facilities, IT, Finance Teachers, Support Staff, SLT, PTA etc.) are aware of upcoming events and their individual roles and responsibilities.
  9. Attending events as required and to be a key point of contact. An element of flexibility in working hours may be required.
  10. Ensure events are planned in accordance with the School’s policies.
  11. To coordinate logistics for events, including catering and audio-visual requirements.
Marketing:
  1. To maintain and update website content to ensure it is well presented, up to date and accurate, in particular the pages relating to news and events.
  2. To ensure the website is well presented, maintained and update content in particular the pages relating to news, lettings, events and alumni.
  3. To manage and maintain content on Weald of Kent’s social media channels and ensure clear brand and safeguarding guidelines are in place.
  4. Collaborate with internal teams to gather information and insights for marketing materials.
