A local council in Scotland is seeking drivers to join the transport team on a casual basis. Successful candidates will transport school pupils, perform daily minibus maintenance, and work split shifts during the school term. A category ‘B’ driving licence and a flexible attitude are required. The role involves understanding the Falkirk area and possibly dealing with children with additional support needs.
Falkirk Council now require drivers to join the transport team on a casual basis. You will be responsible for transporting school pupils (some with Additional Support Needs), from their homes to schools in the Falkirk Council area.
This would involve working split shifts Monday to Friday during the school term time. You would need to be available between 0730 and 0900 in the morning and between 1500 and 1630 in theafternoon.
Driving a 16 seater minibus you will be responsible for daily basic maintenance and safety checks. A category ‘B’ driving licence is essential.
Ideally you should possess a flexible and mature attitude, have some experience of driving minibuses, an ability to deal with school children and a good geographical knowledge of the Falkirk Council area.
You will work on an as and when required basis.
If you are the successful candidate, you will be required to gain/maintain PVG scheme membership.
