Job summary

The Methodist Church in Britain invites applications for a permanent part-time School Crossing Patrol Warden at Meadow View Primary School in Kimberworth. The role centres on guiding pupils safely across Meadowhall Road at the start and end of the school day, during two daily sessions.

You will work outdoors, be friendly with pupils and drivers, and support families while undergoing training and an enhanced DBS check and medical assessment prior to appointment.

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS check.
• Satisfactory medical assessment.

Responsibilities

• Help pupils cross busy roads safely on the way to and from school.
• Ensure children arrive at school safely and get home without worry.
• Manage traffic on Meadowhall Road during session times.
• Work two sessions a day, 08:20 to 09:00 and 15:00 to 15:30.
• Communicate effectively with children and drivers.
• Engage with families and help create a friendly atmosphere for the school community.
