School Crossing Patrol Officer - Pear Tree Mead School

Type: Permanent, Part Time

Salary: £13.00 per hour

Location: Harlow

Working Style:

Support your community by joining Essex County Council’s School Crossing Patrol Team at Pear Tree Mead Primary, Harlow.

Assist in ensuring the safety of pedestrians crossing to and from school in the morning and afternoon.

We seek punctual, reliable, approachable individuals who enjoy engaging with the public.

This role involves approximately 6.40 hours per week during the academic year, with specific times in the morning and afternoon. Uniform, equipment, and training are provided.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist people with disabilities at crossings.
  • Maintain contact with schools served by the crossing.
  • Assess risks at the crossing and report issues.
  • Assist in incident reporting.
  • Maintain equipment and uniform.
  • Signal to drivers and manage traffic safety.
