Hampshire County Council is recruiting for a School Crossing Patrol Officer to support safe travel for children at busy school times. You will be a calm, visible presence at designated crossings, helping pedestrians cross safely and assisting with traffic management where needed.

The role is part-time (10 hours per week during school terms). A uniform is provided, and the post requires a Criminal Records Check.

What you'll do:

As a School Crossing Patrol, you'll take on a vital role in your community - helping children and families cross the road safely during busy school run times. You'll be a calm and reassuring presence at designated crossing points, ensuring pedestrians are protected and traffic is managed with care and confidence. Your role is essential in making sure children and other pedestrians can travel to and from school safely.

This position involves working 10 hours per week during school term time, typically one hour in the morning and one in the afternoon.
