This post is term-time only, with patrols AM 08.30 – 09.05 and PM 15.20 – 15.45. It helps encourage walking to school for environmental and health benefits and to improve safety on site.

North Lincolnshire Council are seeking to recruit a community spirited individual to provide a school crossing service to children and their parents/guardians.

Applicants should have a good understanding of road use and traffic awareness.

You will need to use your judgement of speed and distance to know when it is safe to stop traffic and allow pedestrians to cross the road. The presence of a School Crossing Patrol encourages parents and children to walk to school, giving environmental and health benefits, in addition to improving safety on the site.

Duty times cover the period before school opens in the morning and the period after the school closes in the afternoon. Good verbal communication skills are essential.

This post is term-time only.

The times on patrol are AM 08.30 – 09.05 PM 15.20 – 15.45

Candidates must be able to evidence their right to work in the UK. Please note the council does not hold a sponsor licence to sponsor people to work in the UK.
