A regional educational organization in Northern Ireland seeks a dedicated individual for the role of School Crossing Patrol. The successful candidate will ensure the safe passage of school children across roads. Responsibilities include managing traffic, following safety protocols, and communicating effectively with children and parents. JOB DESCRIPTION — Reports To: The Transport Officer. Job Purpose: To undertake duties concerned with the safe passage of school children across roads to and from school, including control and direction of traffic at crossing areas, operation of hazard warning signs, and identification of roadside hazards.
This job description will be reviewed in light of changing circumstances and is not intended to be rigid or inflexible; it provides guidelines within which the individual works. Other duties of a similar nature and appropriate to the grade may be assigned from time to time.

Disclosure of Criminal Background
The Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups (Northern Ireland) Order 2007 defines working directly with children as regulated activity. If appointed to a post involving regulated activity, an Enhanced Disclosure of Criminal Background will be required, and the applicant will meet the cost of the disclosure.
