A local government authority is seeking a School Crossing Patrol Attendant to ensure the safety of children crossing at designated points. The role is based at Cunningsburgh Primary School and requires 5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The ideal candidate will raise awareness of road safety and encourage appropriate behaviour among children. The position includes paid holidays and flexible working options.
The School Crossing Patrol Attendant (SCPA) is responsible for ensuring children cross the road safely at the designated crossing patrol point. The SCPA encourages appropriate behaviour from the children as they approach and leave the crossing point. The SCPA raises children's awareness of road safety and potential hazards.
The SCPA is based at Cunningsburgh Primary School in Cunningsburgh, serving Quarff, Fladdabister and Cunningsburgh in the South Mainland of Shetland. The school provides education from Early Years up to P7 and is managed by a Head Teacher.
