North Yorkshire Council is seeking a dedicated School Crossing Patrol officer in Knaresborough to help keep children and adults safe on their daily school journeys. The Role

Our school crossing patrols keep children and adults safe on their daily school journeys, providing a vital service to the local community.

Your duties will include

• Ensure safe road crossing for children and pedestrians during patrol times
• Stop traffic using the official ‘STOP’ sign
• Conduct pre-duty health and safety checks of the crossing site
• Report any hazards, equipment issues, or site concerns to the Patrol Officer
• Wear and maintain approved uniform and equipment
