Job summary

Sturminster Newton High School is seeking a proactive Cover Manager to plan and allocate daily cover for planned and unplanned staff absences. You will co-ordinate the daily timetable for Cover Supervisors and supply staff, ensuring lesson plans are delivered effectively and maintaining good order.

The role runs Monday to Friday with core hours 7.15am to 3.15pm, during 39 weeks per year. The successful candidate will have strong communication, time management, and MS Office skills, with Arbor

• Excellent communication and time management skills are required.
• Strong proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, is essential.
• Experience of Arbor would be desirable.

Responsibilities

• Plan and allocate daily cover for planned and unplanned staff absences.
• Coordinate and support the daily timetable for Cover Supervisors and supply staff.
• Ensure agreed lesson plans are delivered effectively while maintaining good order.
• Liaise with Cover Supervisors and teachers to cover absences and book rooms/update calendar.
