Wessex Learning Trust is seeking a Cover Assistant to join our team on a permanent contract starting as soon as possible. The role covers 31.25 hours over 38 weeks (term time plus 3 days) with a 6.25 hour day, 08:15–15:10, Monday to Friday.

You will support teaching staff by organizing and supervising classes during absences. The successful candidate will contribute to a positive learning environment, undertake administrative tasks, and take part in ongoing CPD within a forward-thinking Trust.

Formación

• Strong organisation skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
• Ability to supervise the work of whole classes set by their subject teacher in accordance with school policies and assist students in achieving the learning objectives of the lesson.
• Manage the conduct of students to ensure a positive learning environment, including setting high expectations of conduct and behaviour.
• Carry out administrative tasks to support teachers in the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning

Responsabilidades

• Support the cover process for short and long term absence of teaching colleagues.
• Be part of the Cover Team, led by the Cover Manager and supported by the Assistant Headteacher (Curriculum).
• Assist with classroom supervision and ensuring learning objectives are met.
• Contribute to administrative tasks to support teachers and learners.
