Job summary

A community mental health service is seeking a qualified school counsellor & therapist to provide support in various primary schools across London. The ideal candidate will have at least a Level 5 qualification in counselling and relevant experience working with young people. Job description

School Counsellor & Therapist Role

Salary: £31,179 to £35,257, based on a five-day (35 hours) week during term time.
The salary will be paid pro-rata according to your contracted days per week.

Locations:

  • Primary school in Hunslow (TW5) - two days per week
  • Primary school in RBKC (SW5) - one day per week
  • Primary school in Hammersmith & Fulham (W6) - one day per week
  • Primary school in Harrow (HA3) - two days per week

Your qualifications and skills:

  • A qualification in counselling, play therapy, or creative arts therapy (minimum Level 5 qualification)
  • At least 100 clinical hours completed
  • Experience working with primary or secondary-aged young people (relevant to the role)
  • Good understanding of educational settings
  • Current membership of an appropriate professional body (e.g., BACP, BAPT, BADth, BAAT, BAMT)
  • If applicable, HCPC registration or professional accreditation (or working towards it)
