Job summary

The Marches Academy Trust is seeking a qualified School Counsellor to support pupils across KS3 and KS4. You will provide confidential counselling, work with staff, families and external agencies, and help students overcome social, emotional and mental health challenges while maintaining accurate records.

This permanent role is 37 hours per week, term time only, with an ASAP start date. The successful applicant will contribute to safeguarding and wellbeing across our schools.

Qualifications

  • Qualified school counsellor with appropriate professional registration.
  • Experience supporting pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and child protection standards.

Responsibilities

  • Provide confidential counselling to students across KS3 and KS4.
  • Work with staff, families and external agencies to support pupils.
  • Help students overcome emotional challenges and maintain records.
  • Support safeguarding processes and comply with DBS checks.

Education, wellbeing and safety are fundamental to helping young people thrive. We are seeking a qualified and compassionate School Counsellor to provide confidential support to students across KS3 and KS4. Working closely with students, staff, families and external agencies, you will help young people overcome social, emotional and mental health challenges while maintaining accurate records and supporting safeguarding processes

Actual Salary £26,944 - £28,320
37 hrs per week, Term time only
