Orkney Islands Council is seeking a Cook Supervisor at Dounby Primary School in Orkney. The post is 30 hours per week, temporary until 12 May 2028, with a salary of £31,607–£32,243 pro rata and an hourly rate of £16.38–£16.71.

The role reports to the Service Manager - Corporate Catering and requires Level 2 Disclosure with PVG scheme. Working pattern is Monday to Friday, 08:00–14:30, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break; flexible working may be discussed.

Responsabilités

• Preparation, cooking and service of food.
• Supervision of staff.
• Menu planning and ordering of provisions.
• Ensuring food safety and completion of records.
• Cash handling and liaising with school staff, parents and pupils.
