Job Description:

We're currently recruiting an ambitious Chef to help us create exceptional food experiences for Chartwells on a full-time basis contracted to 35 hours per week. As a Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and serving food that brightens our clients' and customers' days, within the market-leading food service company in the UK. Shift pattern:

  • Mon: Full-time (Days)
  • Tues: Full-time (Days)
  • Weds: Full-time (Days)
  • Thurs: Full-time (Days)
  • Fri: Full-time (Days)
  • Sat: Full-time (Days)
  • Sun: Off

Note: This role is contracted for 44 weeks per year.

Key responsibilities:

  • Preparing high-quality, delicious food that delights clients and customers
  • Overseeing menu changes and improvements
  • Listening to customer feedback for service enhancement
  • Supporting menu creation and food concepts
  • Representing Chartwells positively
  • Monitoring inventory levels
  • Maintaining hygiene standards and kitchen cleanliness
  • Complying with Food Handling, Hygiene, and Safety regulations

Ideal candidate:

  • Passionate about great-tasting food and customer service
  • Holds a City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent
  • Experience supervising a team
  • Experience in a similar Chef role
  • Food Hygiene certificate
  • Flexible working approach
