Job Details

We are currently recruiting for a School Cook to join our team at Chartwells, part of Compass Group UK&I. This is a part-time position, contracted for 30 hours per week, focused on creating exceptional food experiences for students and staff.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare high-quality, delicious meals that meet nutritional standards and satisfy our clients and customers
  • Identify opportunities for improving food service and presentation
  • Create a positive and supportive kitchen environment for your team
  • Deliver food concepts efficiently to students and staff
  • Manage food ordering, stock control, and minimize food waste
  • Maintain hygiene standards through proper kitchen cleaning and safety practices
  • Assist in managing budgets and achieving financial targets
Requirements
  • City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent
  • Experience in a similar catering role
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and demonstrate reliability
  • Passion for food and a safety-first approach
