Job summary

Furness Academy, part of Furness Education Trust in Barrow-in-Furness, is seeking a part-time School Cook to join the Catering department. You will provide nutritious meals to pupils in line with government guidelines and prepare meals for the school's daily service.

The role offers in-house training and a thorough induction, with 22.5 hours per week over 40 weeks per year, and a salary on NJC Scale 4 pro rata. Applicants should be able to work with a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Experience in preparing meals for school children.
• Knowledge of government guidelines on school food and safety.
• Ability to monitor stock and assist with ordering.
