Qualifications

  • Level 6 qualification in Careers Guidance (CIAG) is essential.
  • Experience working with young people, preferably in a school or college setting.
  • Strong understanding of post-16 education, training, and employment opportunities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with diverse students.
  • Experience supporting young people with SEND or from vulnerable groups.

  • Support Careers Leaders in achieving the Gatsby Benchmarks.
  • Keep CEIAG Google Classrooms updated with Labour Market Information.
  • Organise career talks, workshops, and employer engagement activities.

About the Role:
We’re looking for a Level 6 qualified Careers Adviser to join the team in Brentford, delivering on-site careers education, information, advice, and guidance (CEIAG) to students in schools and colleges. This is a term-time only, three-day-per-week position, offering a fantastic opportunity to support young people in shaping their future.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver one-to-one and group careers guidance sessions.
• Support Careers Leaders in achieving the Gatsby Benchmarks.
• Keep CEIAG Google Classrooms up to date with Labour Market Information (LMI) and relevant resources.
• Organise career talks, workshops, and employer engagement activities.
• Build strong relationships with students, including those with SEND or from disadvantaged backgrounds, and engage parents/carers where appropriate.
• Support administrative and reporting duties in line with contract requirements and quality standards.
