Activities Leader – Leading Children’s Play and Sport Provision Company

Locations: Roles are available at various schools within the Spencer Academies Trust group, located in DE24 0EP, DE23 3UX, DE1 2RJ, DE73 5WS, and DE24 5AX.

Hours: Before school hours: 7:30am-9:00am; After school hours: 3:00pm-6:00pm

Salary: £7.50-£11.44 per hour, depending on age and experience

We are recruiting for a leading provider of out-of-school hours childcare for primary school children in the UK. The company is growing in size, quality, and scope yearly, and seeks enthusiastic, passionate individuals about children’s play and activity who can inspire children!

As a Play Worker, no specific experience is necessary, but ideally you will have:

  • A Passion for Working with Children: Provide inclusive, fun, and engaging activities, inspiring children to explore their interests.
  • Enthusiasm and Organisation Skills: Assist in planning and delivering structured activities, including multi-sports, indoor/outdoor games, arts & crafts, downtime, and structured play.
  • Responsibility and Reliability: Ensure the safety and enjoyment of children, follow policies, complete accident and safety forms, and maintain consistency.
  • Communication and Engagement: Communicate professionally with team members, parents, children, and schools; represent the organization positively.
