Job summary

Exhall Grange Specialist School in the United Kingdom is seeking a Cleaning Supervisor to lead a team of 8 cleaners responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across the school premises.

The role runs Monday to Friday, 15:00–20:00 (25 hours/week) during term-time with 10 extra days per year during holidays. Salary is £15,440 per annum for 25 hours/week and 40 weeks/year, with benefits including the Local Government Pension Scheme and other employee perks.

Qualifications

• Basic literacy and numeracy to read and follow instructions.
• Supervise and demonstrate to staff.
• Previous cleaning experience.
• Operate cleaning equipment and use materials.
• Follow procedures and read labels.
• Communicate with colleagues and other staff.
• Undertake necessary COSHH training.

Responsibilities

• Supervising staff, training new cleaners and managing the rota.
• Ensuring health and COSHH regulations are followed for safety.
• Managing supplies: inventory and ordering of products.
• Performing quality checks to maintain standards across the team.
