Job summary

Wymondham College is seeking a hard-working Cleaner to join our facilities team. You will clean classrooms, corridors, and toilets to a high standard, with duties across boarding houses and event prep during non-term time.

The role is permanent, 37.5 hours per week plus occasional Saturday work, with a probationary period and on-site training. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience is preferred, but on-site training is provided.
• Attention to detail.
• Can-do attitude.
• Able to work in a team or by themselves.

Responsibilities

• Clean classrooms in allocated area, including floors, walls, doors, tables and chairs.
• Clean corridors.
• Clean toilets.
• Boarding house duties: vacuuming, damp mopping, scrubbing and carpet shampooing during College holidays.
• Clean furniture, fixtures and fittings; sanitary fittings.
• Assist lettings in preparation of boarding houses during non-term time.
• Empty bins and remove rubbish; check area is safe before leaving.
• Adhere to cleaning schedules and keep cleaners’ cupboards tidy.
• Promote Health and Safety within your area.
• Undertake any other reasonable duty as may be delegated.
• Reporting any problems/damages via CISS.
