Job summary

Mitie currently seeks a Cleaning Operative to join the team at Ryburn Valley High School, St Peters Avenue, Sowerby Bridge. This part-time role covers 13.75 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 15:15 to 18:00, reporting to Facilities Manager/Management Team.

The post requires ensuring cleaning tasks are completed to schedule with strict health and safety compliance, while maintaining professionalism and customer service in a school environment.

Qualifications

• Must be motivated and flexible with a positive attitude.
• Previous cleaning experience is preferred.
• Able to follow a work schedule and health & safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Carry out cleaning tasks in line with the work schedule and job description.
• All work to be completed in accordance with current health and safety requirements.
• Maintain a high level of personal hygiene and appearance.
• Wear protective clothing as required for tasks.
• Observe site rules and regulations at all times.
• Report all machine and building faults to Site Supervisor/Manager or Contract Manager.
• Comply with signing-in and signing-out procedures.
• Perform any other duties as requested by Site Supervisor or Premises Manager.
• Respond courteously to customer requests.
• Address body spillages in line with company training.
