Job summary

Cyngor Sir Ceredigion County Council is seeking a reliable school cleaner to join our team, providing clean, safe and hygienic environments for staff and the public. The role contributes to health, safety and wellbeing across the community and is based in local school facilities.

The successful candidate will work with a flexible, positive attitude, can operate independently or within a team, and will receive full training with ongoing support. DBS check is required.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience is beneficial but not essential; full training and ongoing support will be provided.
• Welsh language support is available for candidates who need it.
• Health and Safety training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Clean classrooms, corridors, staff rooms, toilets, and communal areas to a high standard.
• Ensure hygiene in areas used by children, including regular disinfection of surfaces.
• Safely operate cleaning equipment and use appropriate cleaning products.
• Follow health and safety and safeguarding procedures while on site.
• Report any maintenance or safety concerns to the relevant personnel.
