Job summary

Trent View College (Scunthorpe) is seeking a reliable cleaner to help maintain a welcoming learning environment. You will join a friendly team, carry out daily cleaning tasks in classrooms, offices and washrooms, and help keep premises safe and tidy for pupils and staff.

Full training is provided from day one and there are no formal qualifications required. The post is subject to enhanced DBS checks, with safeguarding and equal opportunities at the core of Wellspring Academy Trust.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out everyday cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting and emptying bins.
• Sanitising washrooms and keeping hygiene supplies fully stocked.
• Using cleaning equipment and products safely and in accordance with guidelines.
• Carrying out occasional deep cleans during school holiday periods.
• Helping lock or unlock the site and keeping the school premises secure.

What You’ll Be Doing

Working as part of a friendly team, you will keep classrooms, offices and washrooms fresh and tidy.

• Carrying out everyday cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting and emptying bins.

• Sanitising washrooms and keeping hygiene supplies (soap, paper towels) fully stocked.

• Using cleaning equipment and products safely (we will teach you all the Health & Safety and COSHH guidelines).

• Carrying out occasional deep cleans during school holiday periods.

• Helping lock or unlock the site and keeping the school premises secure.
