Job summary

St James the Great Church of England Primary and Nursery School in Colchester is seeking a part-time Caretaker/Site Manager to join the team. The role covers 10 hours per week (15:30–17:30, Monday to Friday) during 38 weeks per year, term time and inset days.

The successful candidate will have cleaning experience and be able to handle cleaning tools and chemicals, with a willingness to learn health and safety aspects of cleaning.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning and maintaining facilities.
• Willing to learn about health and safety related to cleaning processes.
• Ability to work with the school caretaker and cleaning team.

Responsibilities

• Support the caretaker in daily site maintenance and cleaning tasks.
• Ensure cleanliness and security of the premises during term time.
