Job summary

St Matthias Academy in Bath is seeking a School Cleaner to join our team on a part-time, term-time basis. You will help keep the school clean, safe and welcoming for pupils, staff and visitors.

The role involves daily cleaning tasks, safe use of cleaning equipment, rubbish disposal, replenishing supplies, occasional deep cleans, and locking the site. We offer training, an Employee Assistance Programme and a cycle-to-work scheme.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out daily cleaning tasks as directed by the Site Manager.
• Using cleaning equipment safely (e.g. floor buffers, carpet cleaners).
• Emptying bins, mopping floors, vacuuming, and cleaning surfaces and furniture.
• Replenishing soap, toilet rolls, and other supplies.
• Taking part in occasional deep cleans such as wall or window cleaning.
• Helping keep our food tech rooms clean and hygienic when needed.
• Lock and secure the site.
